This is a very simple part which allows you to connect an external air source like a Power Tank to the small air tank on a compressor or other air tank with a 1/4" industrial female outlet.
This product came about when a rig in our group had a hard mounted compressor stop working in the middle of a trail. The compressor was primarily used for powering the air lockers and it had a very small air tank attached. The fix was to hook up a Power Tank and hose and connect it to the output of the compressor, normally used for attaching air tools and airing up tires, with this male-to-male fitting. By backfeeding the small air tank with CO2, we were able to operate the air lockers without issue.
If you run your air lockers or pneumatic sway bars off of your compressor which has it's own small storage tank, keep this part around as a backup. If your compressor ever takes a dive on the trail, you can recharge the storage tank using CO2 to keep your lockers functioning. The part adapts your hose and plugs into the output coupler of your compressor's storage tank. You can recharge back to 150 psi and maintain the use of your traction equipment until you can get home and figure out what's wrong.
This part fits any industrial style coupler such as ARB's Single Compressor and Twin Compressor.
