Mörkret Black Blade (C)
Mörkret Black Blade (C) is a powerful survival knife built for the most demanding tasks. The 153 mm full-tang blade in German carbon steel (100Cr6) is 4.2 mm thick and coated with black DLC to protect against corrosion and reflections. A robust knife you can rely on in any situation.
Full-tang construction and uncompromising strength
Mörkret is Morakniv’s largest and most robust survival knife to date. The strong full-tang construction provides maximum strength and balance, while the new High Flat grind with a secondary bevel adds more steel behind the edge for greater strength during heavy-duty work. All materials have been laboratory tested with both friction and impact tests to ensure maximum strength and grip under demanding conditions.
For survival, bushcraft, and tactical use
Developed for situations where reliability is essential. Mörkret handles everything from batoning and wood processing to carving, building shelters, and preparing fire using the ferro rod–compatible spine, even in wet and cold environments. An uncompromising survival knife for the most challenging conditions.
Power Touch Grip and secure carry
Mörkret features a Power Touch Grip – a glass-fiber reinforced handle that combines a soft, grip-friendly feel with high impact resistance. It features ridges along the spine for improved grip when wearing gloves, and its larger texture pattern provides extra traction in cold and damp conditions. The lanyard hole makes it easy to attach cord or paracord. The ambidextrous Click-On sheath can be carried on either the left or right side and features a click-lock function that keeps the knife securely in place. The hole pattern is adapted for TEK-LOK accessories and MOLLE-compatible rails for flexible mounting. The LIBA Smart® belt loop functions as a dangler and features secondary locking that can be easily fastened and released.
Carbon steel with High Flat grind and secondary bevel
The 153 mm long, 4.2 mm thick blade is made from German 100Cr6 carbon steel with 1.3–1.5% chromium, providing improved toughness and slightly better corrosion resistance than traditional carbon steels. The black DLC coating provides additional protection against corrosion while reducing reflections. The blade has a hardness of 57.5 HRC, and the edge runs all the way into the handle, allowing you to work closer to the material with improved control and power transfer. The new High Flat grind with a secondary bevel provides more steel behind the edge for added strength and durability during heavy use. Use the sharpened exposed tang at the rear to scrape tinder or strike a ferro rod. If you don't want this feature, you can easily blunt it with a sharpening stone.
Made in Mora, Sweden
The faceted grind at the tip is a tribute to knife maker Carl Andersson, who became part of KJ Eriksson in 1961 – today known as Morakniv. The knife and all its components are made in Mora, Sweden, with 135 years of knife-making expertise.
