LX+ and air-egress channel materials have micro-channels in the adhesive that allow air to escape during installation — significantly easier to apply without bubbles.
Installation
What you'll need:
- Wax-free detailer spray or glass cleaner + microfiber towel
- StickerFab Application Fluid (recommended) or soapy water (a few drops of dish soap in 1-2 cups of water)
- Felt-lined squeegee (optional but helpful)
- Heat gun or hair dryer (optional)
Clean the tail light surface thoroughly — no wax-based products. Wet install recommended: spray application fluid on the adhesive side, position the overlay, slide into alignment, squeegee from center outward to push out fluid. Allow to dry fully before driving.

FAQ
Will these work on the Quartermaster as well as the Station Wagon?
Yes — the tail light is the same circular design on both body styles. Both are covered.
Will the overlay affect brake light visibility?
Dark Smoke reduces apparent brightness slightly — this is true of any tinted tail light treatment. Light output remains clearly visible when illuminated, as shown in the photos above. Light Smoke has minimal impact on brightness.
What's the difference between Dark Smoke and Dark Smoke Stealth?
Same level of tint darkness, different finish. Dark Smoke is gloss; Dark Smoke Stealth is matte. If your Grenadier has a flat or satin exterior, Stealth blends in better.
Do the patterned options (Honeycomb, Carbon Fiber, Galaxy) look good when the lights are off?
When off, all three appear similar in shade to dark smoke. The pattern becomes visible when LEDs illuminate from behind. Galaxy retains a subtle metallic sheen even unlit. Carbon fiber actually has a textured appearance which is visible when unlit.
Is this a permanent modification?
No — apply mild heat and peel slowly for clean removal. No adhesive residue on properly prepared surfaces.
